Witness appeal following assault - (location)

We are appealing for information following an assault in Banbury.  

The incident occurred at around 1400hrs on Friday the 26th of December 2025 at the Banbury Mosque, Merton Street, Banbury. 

Two males were assaulted by two other males following the end of prayers at the Mosque one sustaining a broken nose. The description of the males is:

Asian male, black hair, around 5 foot 8, of medium build. He was wearing a light grey puffer jacket.

The other suspect is also an Asian male, with black hair around 6 foot. This male was wearing a blue top and jeans. 

Investigating officer, Police Constable Flint, based at Banbury police station, said; “We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has CCTV to please come forward.
